| On April 14th @ 1257 hours, St. Leonard Volunteer Fire Department was alerted for a working structure fire on Clay Hammond Rd.
Engine 72 (Chief R. Weems), Squad 7 (Chief 7A V. DeVries), Tanker 7 (FF C. Lankford), and Rehab 7 (Chief 7C M. Weems) responded to assist with other surrounding companies.
Engine 72 was designated as RIT (Rapid Intervention Team). While Tanker 7 assisted with water supply. As the situation became under control Engine 72 and Squad 7 reported to the second floor to begin overhaul with Chief R. Weems as the supervisor. During the duration of the event Rehab 7 provided water and sustenance to firefighters while on scene.
Prior to battling the fire, A78 (EMT Graham), and Brush 7 (Lt. Curtis) responded to a medical call involving a dehydrated patient in the woods. Today, Company 7 staffed six pieces of apparatus and helped our community. |
