Training on the water is critical to keeping our crews ready

On Friday morning, April 10, St. Leonard Rescue Boat 7 joined North Beach Fire Boat 1 in assisting the Maryland Fire and Rescue Institute’s Surface Water Technician class. The training was held in the Chesapeake Bay off Long Beach, where students practiced rescue operations in wetsuits and real water conditions. Rescue Boat 7 served as the safety boat for the class, helping ensure a safe and successful hands-on training experience. We are always proud to support training opportunities that strengthen the skills and preparedness of first responders on the water. Thank you Rick Salen for providing pictures from the shore.
