On Tuesday June 14th, 2016 at approximately 1830 hours, the St. Leonard Volunteers started our weekly drill night consisting of vehicle stabilization, extrication, and patient care. Towards the end of the drill, members were alerted for a walk-in patient who experienced a head injury. EMS personnel at the station assessed the patient and determined him to be a Category Alpha Priority 1 Trauma Patient and requested aviation. Trooper 7 arrived minutes later and was able to quickly transport the patient to a nearby trauma center. All units cleared within two hours.
