On April 9th, 2016 at approximately 1428 hours, units from the St. Leonard VFD were alerted to the serious auto accident in the area of 12335 Rousby Hall Road . The Assistant Chief (Anderson), Deputy Fire Chief (Buckmaster), Squad 7 (Sgt. Davis), and Ambulance 79 (Hannigan) responded on the call. First arriving units found a two-vehicle off-set head-on collision with one trapped. Chief 7A then arrived on the scene shortly after and established the "Rousby Hall Road Command". Squad 7 was given the assignment by command to assist SVRSFD Rescue 3 and PFVFD Engine 21 with extricating the trapped occupant. A helicopter was requested for both patients and members began ALS and BLS treatment of the patients. Once both patients were extricated and packaged, they were transported to the landing zone at PHS and flown to a local trauma center. SLVFD would like to extend our deepest thoughts and condolences to all persons involved.
