At 0950 on February 10, 2016, Company 7 units were dispatched with Company 3 to the working house fire on Dalton Trail in Lusby. Engine 72 (C. Eckels), Squad 7 (C. Hosselrode), Chief 7, Chief 7A, Safety 7, and Fire Captain 7 responded. Safety 7 arrived behind Safety 3 to find a 2-story single-family dwelling with an attached garage fully involved. All occupants were reported to be out of the residence. The fire was through the roof of the garage and had extended into the living area of the house. Chief 7 arrived and immediately assumed command. Engine 72 laid a 4-in supply line from the hydrant and made entry to initiate fire attack. Squad 7's crew performed an primary search, which was negative. Command requested the assistance of a front-end loader from the Chesapeake Ranch Estates to assist with the removal of the two vehicle shells from the driveway, and the remains of the boat and trailer and other debris from the garage to complete overhaul. The fire was placed under control at 1040. Company 7 units remained on scene until approximately 1330 completing overhaul and cleanup.
