Proud Moment for SLVFD: Leigh Ann Langley Receives Prestigious EMS Award
Email Print RSS Facebook Twitter RSS

April 13, 2025

Please join us in celebrating Leigh Ann Langley, the recipient of the prestigious Dowell-Showalter EMS Award, which recognizes the Outstanding EMS Person of the Year in Calvert County.

This award was established to honor the life-saving efforts of Calvert County Volunteer EMS providers and to recognize those who go above and beyond in their dedication to patient care and community service.

Leigh Ann exemplifies the very spirit of this award. In 2024, she served as EMS Lieutenant, responded to 222 calls, logged over 400 hours of documented collateral duty time, led EMS drills, chaired the Ambulance 77 replacement committee, and gave countless hours to fundraising efforts. Her dedication and leadership earned her a promotion to EMS Captain for 2025.

We’re incredibly proud of Leigh Ann and thankful for her tireless efforts to serve Calvert County.
