BIG WIN FOR ST. LEONARD VFD AT THE SMVFA CONVENTION!!

The St. Leonard Volunteer Fire Department participated at the Southern Maryland Volunteer Fireman's Association Convention Touch A Truck and Games Event. Fire and EMS companies from all 3 Southern Maryland Counties (Charles County, Calvert County, and St. Mary's County) were in attendance.

SLVFD members worked hard over the last month to prepare, and boy was it worth it.

The department was awarded 11 awards:

* Best Appearing Special Unit (Rehab 7)
* Best Appearing Squad
* Best Appearing Tanker
* 2nd Best Appearing Rescue Boat
* 2nd Best Appearing UTV
* 2nd Best Appearing Engine 1500 GPM
* Judges Award Fire Ambassador
* 2nd Best Appearing Little Fire Ambassador
* 1st Place Bucket Brigade
* 1st Place EMS Competition
* Best Appearing Company in the Association
