At 09:40 on Sunday the 17th, St. Leonard and surrounding companies were dispatched for a serious accident on Rt 4, in the area of Ball Road. Ambulance 78, Engine 72, Chief 7A and Captain 7 responded immediately. Units found a minivan on it's side with a single occupant trapped.
E72 stabilized the vehicle and flapped the roof in order to extricate the patient. Squad 3 (Solomons) arrived and assisted with the extrication. The single patient was transported by A78 to Capital Region.
