The St. Leonard Volunteers would like to thank Fesco Emergency for delivery of the Rosenbauer BEST (Battery Extinguishing System Technology). The first of its kind to be delivered within the state of Maryland, The BEST system is designed to help with the extinguishment of fires in battery powered vehicles. This unit will be available to all emergency responders in St. Leonard, Calvert County and Southern Maryland.
A special thank you to the rescue officers of the SLVFD department, especially Lieutenant Eckstein for making this purchase a reality. We would also like to express our gratitude to the Calvert County Commissioners for their support with this special project for the betterment of all of Southern Maryland.
