On Wednesday 14 December at approximately 09:40 St. Leonard and surrounding departments were dispatched for a box truck off the road and into trees. Squad 7, Ambulance 77 and Chief 7A responded. First arriving units found a box truck and commercial wood chipper down a ravine, in the woods. The driver was removed and transported to a landing zone. Squad 2 and Patuxent River Hazardous Materials team assisted with offloading diesel fuel from a leaking saddle tank and Maryland Department of the Environment dealt with fuel that had leaked into a drainage area. Engine 72 handled the landing zone.
