One Trapped On St. Leonard Road

On June 18th, 2015 at approximately 1533 hours, units from St. Leonard VFD were alerted to the auto accident in the area of 5395 St. Leonard Road, Squad 7 (Lt. Midkiff), Ambulance 78 (T. Dillon), and Engine 72 (Sgt. Davis) immediately responded on the call. Squad 7 arrived on the scene to find a single vehicle, head-on into a tree with one trapped and established the "St. Leonard Road" command. Personnel from Squad 7 immediately went to work utilizing multiple Hurst tools to free the trapped patient. EMS providers on the scene then determined aviation was needed to transport the patient to an appropriate trauma center. Within ten minutes the single occupant was extricated and transported to the landing site at SLES. Moments later Trooper 7 arrived and transported the victim to a local trauma center.
