On Thursday, July 23, and Friday, July 24, members of visited Pierce Manufacturing's Florida Plant to perform the final inspection of the new Tanker 7. Chief (R. Weems II), Safety Officer (N. Bauer), Chief Engineer (L. Callison), President (R. Midkiff), Chairman of the Board of Directors (D.O. Baker), past Deputy Chief J. Anderson, and EMS Captain (M. Weems) performed a thorough inspection of the apparatus finding only a very few minor discrepancies. The members had an opportunity to drive the vehicle and flow some water. The new Tanker shows the pride and attention to detail that the Pierce workers put forth, which was confirmed by the work leaders' own words expressing how great it was to build the unit. The membership is looking forward to delivering of the apparatus in the middle of August. Great work by the entire Apparatus Committee on the design and by the craftsmen of Pierce Manufacturing.
