Ross Road Auto Accident

On Saturday, July 7th, 2018 at approximately 1643 hours, the St. Leonard Volunteers were alerted to the 3000 block of Ross Road for the serious auto accident. Chief 7A, Chief 7C, Safety 7, Squad 7, Engine 72, Ambulance 77, and Ambulance 79 responded. Safety 7 arrived to find a single vehicle off the roadway with three subjects trapped and established the "Ross Road" command. Squad 7 with the assistance of Squad 2 worked diligently together to safely extricate all three occupants from the vehicle while Engine 72 established a landing site. Ultimately all three patients were transported and transferred to Trooper 7 and Eagle 1 who then transported all three patients to a local trauma center. St. Leonard units operated for approximately two hours.

Thank you all for help in rescuing and saving my husband,our former friend and myself. The driver was released that evening. Concussion and bruising. My husband,15 staples in his head and 2 plates and 6 screws in his right wrist. Myself, I was the passenger in the back seat. Concussion, tear in an artery in my neck, 6 broken ribs,l 4 fracture vertebrae, distended stomach, major seatbelt brushing, both elbows bruised. I did OT for my left elbow. Bruising on both hips down to my knees. My husband and I are the only ones who can drive a vehicle. If we are passengers. It's because either he or myself are driving. We have some serious Angels watching and driving with us. And we had you all,emts and the life flight team. Again, thank you all in being apart of help save us. Sincerely, Sue Stacey.
