Rousby Hall Road House Fire

On March 25th, 2018 at approximately 0807 hours, the St. Leonard Volunteers were alerted to the 12400 block of Rousby Hall Road for the house fire. Engine 71 and Tanker 7 immediately responded. En-route to the call the Control Center notified units that they were receiving multiple calls for smoke in the area and fire present. 1st arriving units from Solomons VRSFD then gave an initial report of heavy fire showing from a single family home.

Engine 71 was the 2nd arriving Engine and assisted units with opening up while Tanker 7 performed multiple Tanker shuttles to maintain water supply. In addition Ambulance 77 remained on the scene and provided rehabilitation to the exhausted firefighters.

Ultimately, three children were flown from the scene of the fire and their condition at this time is unknown. St. Leonard units operated for two hours before clearing the fire ground. At this point, the Rousby Hall Road fire is still under investigation.
