Stirrup Lane House Fire

On March 3rd, 2018 at approximately 0632 hours, the St. Leonard Volunteers were alerted to a structure fire in the 11400 block of Stirrup Lane. Chief 7A, Chief 7B, Safety 7A, Engine 71, and Squad 7 immediately responded. Chief 3A arrived on scene to find a single story single family dwelling with fire showing from Side Charlie and established command. Engine 71 arrived on scene, stretched a back-up line inside to assist Engine 31 while Squad 7 performed a primary search and opened up for the Engine Companies. Company 7 units operated for approximately two hours. The cause of the fire was determined to be a faulty pellet stove pipe.
