Welcome to the Saint Leonard Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad's Official Website.

The Saint Leonard Volunteer Fire Department is a 100% Volunteer Department providing Fire, Rescue, and Emergency Medical Services to the residents and visitors of Calvert County, Maryland.  Saint Leonard is located in the center of the southern half of Calvert County and is situated between the Patuxent River and the Chesapeake Bay. Our first due area encompasses approximately 40 square miles, which is nearly two-thirds the size of Washington, DC.  Our members contribute countless hours to training and the maintenance of our equipment and apparatus while responding to over 2,000 fire and EMS calls annually.

2014 Concert Series

The members of the St. Leonard Volunteer Fire Department are pleases to announce the first concert of our 2014 Concert Series.  Our Concert Series raises funds to support the fire, rescue, and EMS services that we provide to our community and its neighbors.  By taking the time to come out and enjoy yourselves at our concerts, you are supporting us in a very big way.

Lancaster Drive/ Route. 4 Auto AccidentLancaster Drive/ Route. 4 Auto Accident

At approximately 0142 hours, a rescue assignment was dispatched at Calvert Cliffs Parkway and Route 4 for the auto accident. Squad 7 arrived on location to find a two-vehicle head-on collision and established the command. Further investigation showed that both patients were out of the vehicles with minor injuries. Patients were immediately transported by Ambulance 78 and Ambulance 48 to CMH while Squad 7 handled the extensive clean-up of debris and vehicle fluids. St. Leonard VFD units cleared at 0252 hours.

To celebrate the tradition of this years fire prevention week, the St. Leonard Volunteers visited both of the Elementary Schools within our first due (St. Leonard and Mutual) and several day cares.
